Transfer Complete

It's nearly Christmas. It snowed today. I am accompanied by a close friend. All's well on the Southwestern Front.

Now that my housing is taken care of, my visa is complete, my plane ticket purchased, I am ready to go. I have nothing but an ocean standing between me and Sweden.

Christmas has been fantastic so far. My lady is here, and we are enjoying the final times we will have together, before I depart. We will have a 5 month hiatus. I'm not very excited about it, but I'm confident that we'll make it through. Things are special with this one.

The final plans for America go like this:
1. Have Christmas
2. Have New Year in Phoenix
3. Work at Walt Disney World for 3 days
4. Go snowboarding in Durango
5. Pack
6. Board the plane.

The departure date approaches swiftly. It is a strange feeling to know that the next adventure will be the most foreign and exciting to date. It is actually difficult to fathom what's in store for Kenneth Johnson and I. This is really something of magnitude.

America: It's been real, and it's been fun, and it's been real fun. Hopefully I'll be back.

My Business Here is Done

Today I transferred 10,000.00 SEK to reserve my room in Våsteräs.

I completed my final final.

I returned the bike I was owning.

I took care of the final ASME business.

I returned my office key.

I let my work know that I would be on sabbatical.

I purchased a Socorro originating t-shirt for a lovely lady.

I packed.

I said goodbye... again.

Tomorrow I will move out, and get my computer taken care of, it's been giving me some problems lately, so I will be sure to get that sent off, and hopefully returned, ASAP. I have a little under a month to do everything in America that I want to do before I leave. I'm sure I'll have enough time, I'm already pretty booked.

Visa is in!

After being worried that my passport and visa were stolen from my mailbox, I called the Embassy. They said that they had it, and they must have decided to mail it the next day, because now I've got it. Visa and all.

I set up the events that I'll be attending upon arrival in Sweden, and I'll probably transfer the funds to accept my housing accommodation this week. Once I've reserved my housing accommodation, pretty much all I have to do is get on the right plane.

I intend for this blog to account my experiences from now on. The primary focus is going to be on my trip abroad, but I expect I'll continue to have good adventures and things after that. Right now, I am waiting for my passport to return from the Swedish Embassy. I will finish up school, celebrate Christmas and New Years with someone that I love, and depart on January 13th. One month from tomorrow.
